Nurses may care for patients including: Post cardiac catheterization Post myocardial infarction (MI) Post cardiac stent placement Post cardiac ablation TAVR patients Watchman procedure patients Stable post-open-heart patients after line removal Patients requiring transvenous pacemakers Respiratory failure patients Patients requiring BiPAP Patients receiving insulin drips Kidney and other organ failure patients Patients experiencing alcohol or drug withdrawal Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced PCU RN who is comfortable managing high-acuity patients in a fast-moving environment .

The nurse should be able to efficiently manage a 1:3 assignment while adapting to frequent admissions, transfers, and changes in patient status.
