We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with cardiac step-down experience to join our team for a night shift position. The RN will work three 12-hour shifts per week, typically every third weekend and one holiday annually, with some variability based on staffing needs and patient census. Essential Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac step-down patients, including heart catheter recovery, cardiac drips, and post-operative open-heart patients.
Float to other units during times of low patient volume or coverage crises as necessary. Maintain certification requirements, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Administer care to ventilated patients if required, ensuring comfort and safety while adhering to best practices.
Qualifications A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a cardiac step-down unit. Demonstrated proficiency in managing open-heart patients and using Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Commitment to providing compassionate and efficient patient care.
