Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level care. Candidates must have strong stepdown or PCU experience, with the ability to manage and titrate cardiac drips being a mandatory requirement. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions in the PCU.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and recognize changes in patient conditions. Manage and titrate cardiac drips independently according to provider orders and facility protocols. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Administer medications, monitor treatment responses, and respond promptly to clinical emergencies. Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and other relevant clinical indicators. Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes using Epic EMR.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Required Certifications Active RN License BLS ACLS NIHSS Required Experience and Skills Recent PCU or stepdown nursing experience. Mandatory cardiac drip management and titration experience.
Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation. Management of patients requiring intermediate-level care. Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
Epic charting experience.
