Qualifications
✓Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
✓Pediatric/adolescent experience required
✓Experience with patients with autism or a combination of psychiatric and acute care pediatric experience may be considered
✓Must be comfortable with de-escalation, redirection, assisting with ADLs, 1:1 observation, and participating in physical holds when necessary
✓Must be willing to float between pediatric and adult psychiatric units as needed
✓Every other weekend and rotating holiday requirements
✓First-time travelers are accepted
✓Patient Population: Pediatric and adolescent patients ages 5–18, with a variety of behavioral health conditions

Position: Registered Nurse – Pediatric Psych Facility: Acadia – Northern Light Health Location: Bangor, ME Contract: 13 Weeks Start Date: 11/23/2026 End Date: 02/20/2027

7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 7AM - 7PM (Day/Night)

12-hour night shifts Hours: 48 guaranteed hours per week

Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience Pediatric/adolescent experience required; experience with patients with autism or a combination of psychiatric and acute care pediatric experience may be considered Active Maine RN license Current BLS certification MOAB certification (can be obtained onsite) Must be comfortable with de-escalation, redirection, assisting with ADLs, 1:1 observation, and participating in physical holds when necessary Must be willing to float between pediatric and adult psychiatric units as needed Every other weekend and rotating holiday requirements First-time travelers are accepted Patient Population: Pediatric and adolescent patients ages 5–18, with a variety of behavioral health conditions.

Pay Package – Travel: WEEKLY GROSS: $3,022.00 WEEKLY TAXABLE: $1,776.00 WEEKLY NON-TAXABLE: $1,246.00
