- Unit: Emergency Department -

10:30 AM - 11:00 PM (Block scheduling not guaranteed)

  • Charge Capability: Highly Preferred
  • Floating Required: Yes
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Unit Specifics:

  • Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
  • Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
  • Patient Demographics: Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Expected Care: Provide comprehensive care to all assigned patients, including Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)
  • Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds (2 Triage, 40 Acute, 6 Super Track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 Psych)

Required Drips & Medications:

  • Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, and Dopamine
  • Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
  • Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine
  • Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
