DetailsFloat Pool position covering a 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, and 112-bed NICUFloating required to acute care units including surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hem/onc, step-down, and cardiac pediatric unitsMay float to NICU but only for feeder-grower, low-acuity patients rather than traditional NICU careNight shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 48 hours per weekWeekend and holiday coverage requiredRequirementsActive RN license (Oklahoma State or Compact/eNLC)Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart AssociationMinimum of 1 year of RN experience required3 years of experience in a Level I Trauma facility requiredAssociate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferredExperience with tracheostomy care, hi-flow oxygen therapy, and infusion management requiredStrong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniquesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAdditional InformationProvide direct nursing care to a caseload of pediatric patients across multiple acute care and critical care unitsAdminister medications, monitor IV infusions and blood products, and document patient responses to interventionsAssist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic proceduresCommunicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge educationDelegate tasks to support staff as neededMust reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligibleLocal candidates will not be consideredReturning travelers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
