Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 30, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a day shift role in a pediatric ICU setting. Details Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting within a teaching hospital Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required 36 or 48 hour contract options available Cerner charting system preferred Mandatory floating required, including serving as a Patient Observer (sitter) across the organization On-call availability required Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required RRT license required, pending license acceptable, CRT not accepted MO or Compact license required in hand Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred Cerner charting experience required Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs Comfortable working in an environment with routine exposure to contagious illnesses License required if applicable Additional Information Provide respiratory care to critically ill pediatric patients including ventilator management, airway management, and medication administration Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility requiring rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and work during inclement weather Minimum 50% holiday coverage required during the contract First-time travelers will be considered Local candidates accepted, though those within 50 miles are not eligible and those 51-74 miles may be offered a local rate Local candidates are not eligible for contract extensions beyond the initial term Maximum RTO of 10 days, with no time off permitted during the first week due to orientation Travelers may work up to three consecutive 13-week contracts before a mandatory 6-month break is required
