Details Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units Performs echocardiographic studies across fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography 4 scanners available Uses Philips equipment with Epic EMR and PACS Fuji CV Synapse Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements Occasional floating to Inova Fairfax Hospital campus Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric sonography Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required BLS and ARDMS certification required Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred Fetal echo experience encouraged Adult echo experience a plus Epic experience required License required if applicable Additional Information Responsibilities include recognizing and triaging emergent situations Provides written communication to cardiologists Maintains equipment and handles logging and billing of procedures 1-2 week orientation provided Scrub color is Caribbean Blue Local candidates accepted at a lower rate with a 50-mile radius rule Former permanent employees may return 12 months after their last shift worked
