Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient & Inpatient Rehab Waimea, Hawaii We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Waimea, Hawaii . This opportunity includes a mix of outpatient, acute care, ICU, SNF, and inpatient mobility progression , making it a great fit for a well-rounded PT who is comfortable working independently in a rural hospital-based setting. Position Highlights Outpatient & Inpatient Rehab Setting 13-Week Travel Contract Primarily Outpatient Caseload Approximately 25% Acute/Inpatient/ICU/SNF Approximately 75% Outpatient Rural Hospital-Based Environment Waimea, Hawaii Start Date: 9/28/26 End Date: 12/28/26 Responsibilities Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments across outpatient and inpatient settings. Treat a variety of outpatient diagnoses with thorough, individualized care plans.
Support acute care, ICU, SNF, and inpatient mobility progression needs. Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and functional independence.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, OT, SLP, and interdisciplinary team members. Complete timely documentation and progress reporting. Requirements Hawaii PT license required.
BLS required. Strong clinical independence required. Outpatient experience preferred.
Acute care, SNF, or hospital-based experience preferred. Rural healthcare experience preferred. Why Waimea?
