Job Details Position Description: The PT Resident performs routine patient care and is responsible for all clinical aspects of assigned patient care, including evaluation and treatment, with supervision as needed. The role includes participating in an advanced didactic program designed to facilitate extensive expertise in acute care rehabilitation. Proficient in providing basic clinical care and collaborating with senior physical therapists for complex cases involving multiple diagnoses or treatment options.
Required
Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited curriculum; CA Physical Therapist license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 0 years of experience;
Days shift, 8 hours daily, minimum 40 hours per week. Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing and treating within the scope of practice, developing and modifying therapeutic interventions, evaluating and recommending assistive devices, documenting care accurately, providing discharge planning, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, and fulfilling residency requirements, including assignments and exams.
Experience with clinical reasoning, development of treatment goals, implementation of treatment programs, and effective communication skills for patient and team interactions.
