Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Dec 14, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of PICU experience, BLS/PALS certification, and a TN or compact RN license. Details Work in a 14-bed PICU with 11 private rooms and one semi-private area of 3 beds Patient population ranges from infants to 21 years old Common diagnoses include DKA, respiratory failure, pneumonia, status asthmaticus, trauma, sepsis, seizures, and post-surgical cases Bedside procedures include central/arterial line placement, chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, and EVD/bolt placement Uses Philips monitors, Servo ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps Night shift
3x12 hours, 1845-0715 Every other weekend (EOW) required Floating to other units required as needed Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required BLS and PALS certification required Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required Prior travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers Two professional references required for consideration DOB and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide critical care nursing for pediatric patients with complex respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, and post-surgical needs Skills in ventilator management, central/arterial line care, and ICP monitoring are valued Experience with continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations is beneficial Travelers who have oriented at this facility within the past year are not required to reorient Local candidates accepted at the same rate
