$2,040–$2,150 Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Night shifts, with 8- or 12-hour options Typical Night Shift Options: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Healthcare Setting: Behavioral Health unit Psychiatric RN Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent Behavioral Health nursing experience in a specialty acute-care setting Active permanent Ohio Registered Nurse license or valid compact-state license in hand Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Active Crisis Intervention certification Previous Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience Strong therapeutic communication, psychiatric assessment, and crisis-management skills Ability to provide professional references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty Behavioral Health Nursing Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care to individuals receiving behavioral health services Complete psychiatric assessments, ongoing monitoring, and individualized care planning Administer medications and evaluate patient responses in accordance with clinical standards Recognize changes in behavior or condition and respond appropriately to psychiatric and medical emergencies Use therapeutic communication and approved crisis-intervention techniques to promote patient safety and stabilization Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, patients, and families to support treatment goals Document assessments, interventions, patient progress, and care plans accurately in Epic Promote a respectful, supportive, and secure environment for patients and colleagues Apply now for this Psychiatric RN travel contract and join a dedicated Behavioral Health team in Ashtabula, Ohio.
