Contract details

Independently performs imaging procedures. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols including contrast administration.

Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes. Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition analysis reconstruction and documentation of image data and completes procedures according to protocol. Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture demonstrates proper use of power injector according to set protocols set by department and/or manufacturer.

Administers PO rectal and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to the administration of the contrast media required for the imaging procedure. Demonstrates a strong ability to interact with both patients and co-workers while displaying a high level of caring listening dignity and respect. Able to work as team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently.

Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patients fears and solicit their cooperation. Identifies all patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol when performing procedures. Reviews patient history and assesses physician orders applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of data.

Documents patient history in electronic record as required. Ensures all exams within his/her area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked all exams are properly networked for archiving and interpretation and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed. *Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. *Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Knowledge Requirements Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.

CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. 2 years of experience is required. Licenses and Certifications (PA) ARRT Certificate Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) Basic Life Support (BLS) PA Act 31 PA Act 33 PA Act 34 PA Act 73 3 12s or 2 12s 2 8s 10:30AM-11:00PM for 12s primarily but rotating as required primarily second shift hours for 2 12s 2 8s will block for employee when possible Will have weekends assigned in a manner that provides an equal distribution between all staff that work weekend 3rd shift weekends are a rotation shared between employees-3rd shift weekend times at 7:00PM-7:30AM Holidays are required as needed by the department but split between all staff that work holidays No Call requirements GE Experience preferred but not required Flat lot parking is free of charge metered parking or parking garage are available at an additional cost to the employee
