  • BLS – Basic Life Support
  • RTF – California State Fluoroscopic Permit
  • CRT -Certified by the State of California Department of Health Services in Diagnostic Radiology. The Interventional Radiology Technologists Level II set exposure parameters and provide the radiographic technological expertise during interventional radiology procedures. Employees may also perform other duties as assigned. 1) Advanced beginner to intermediate level, must be able to work independently and take call within 3-6 months of hire. 2) Provides scrub assistance during procedures and performs float duties as assigned. 3) Sets exposure parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment practicing ALARA by setting correct imaging protocols. 4) Correctly prepare for procedures by entering patient demographic in imaging equipment, correct inventory setup, and having supplemental inventory available. 5) Correctly post process images (re-masking, pixel shifting, 3-D reconstructions, etc.) and ensure they are sent to PACS in a timely fashion. 6) Basic understanding of imaging techniques, protocols, and ability to prepare for ancillary equipment setup. (IVUS, US, EKOS, JETI, ANGIO JET, etc.) 7) Ability to efficiently operate ancillary equipment (Measuring diameter, cross sectional area, etc.) and ability to complete quality post processing of images and information on all ancillary equipment. (IVUS, US, etc.) 8) Performs routine cleaning of procedural area and equipment. 9) Verifies and completes all documentation to include Qsight and EPIC in an accurately and timely fashion. 10) Ability to efficiently operate CT scanner for interventional procedures such as biopsies, chest tubes, drain/aspiration tubes and ablations.
