  • RN will provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care.
  • Experience with moderate/conscious sedation required.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with physicians, technologists, and support staff.
  • Opportunity to assist with development of new IR service lines and advanced procedures. Unit Information:

  • Equipment: Masimo monitoring systems, power injectors, ultrasound guidance equipment, patient monitoring and sedation equipment

  • Patient Population e.g. geriatric, adult, peds, etc.: Adult geriatric Hiring Profile:
  • Must Have Skills/Experience:
  • Critical Care (ICU, ED, PACU, or equivalent) experience
  • Conscious/Moderate Sedation administration and monitoring
  • Interventional Radiology nursing experience
  • Strong IV access and patient assessment skills
  • Emergency response and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows
  • Preferred Skillset/Experience:
  • Previous experience in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department
  • Experience with vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Experience recovering patients after moderate sedation
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR
  • PICC line and port management experience
  • Experience assisting with advanced vascular and oncology procedures

  • CT- and Ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Drain placements and exchanges
  • Paracentesis and thoracentesis
  • PICC and central venous catheter placement
  • Port placement and removal
  • Venous access procedures

  • GI/GU fluoroscopic procedures

  • Embolization procedures (program expansion)

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
