  • Experience Required: 2 years of Mammography Tech experience is required Additional Comments: Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. Will be required to work 2 or 3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period. Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts. Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts. Hospital Information: Extremely busy and fast paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level 2 trauma center, Stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient bed hospital, 80 ER beds. The volume and pace required to work here are that of level 1 trauma center Hiring Profile: Position Purpose Under the supervision of the Manager of Reno Breast Center, the incumbent produces diagnostic mammograms, assists the radiologist and referring physicians in mammographic procedures, and ensures patient care while representing the purpose of Renown Health. Nature and Scope The major challenges to this position include being able to understand and apply the technical skills required to operate mammographic equipment. The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to adult and geriatric patients served, and meet standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age-specific competency standards. The incumbent may be asked to perform other job duties related to Reno Breast Center as needed. This position has the authority to make technical decisions that will provide the best possible mammographic image quality. This position must be proficient in the use of the MAMMOGRAPHY UNIT. This position will require training and general knowledge attained to operate the hospital and department computer systems. This position does provide patient care.
