- Supervisor/Charge Experience -BLS -8 years experience -ARMRIT or ARRT R -ARRT MR - Venipuncture - BLS Shift Specification: This contract MRI Supervisor position is a full-time leadership role scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The supervisor is expected to provide operational leadership and support for a multi-campus MRI program while maintaining the ability to perform clinical MRI examinations as needed during periods of low staffing, call-offs, vacations, or other operational needs.
The MRI Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a multi-site MRI service encompassing five MRI scanners across four locations and approximately 30 FTEs. MRI services operate across a broad range of hours, with staffing coverage extending from 5:30 AM through midnight, requiring oversight of multiple shifts, workflows, and campus-specific operational needs. Key responsibilities include: - Daily oversight of MRI operations across multiple campuses - Staffing coordination, schedule management, and operational planning - Clinical support and MRI scanning coverage during staffing shortages - Patient flow management and optimization of scanner utilization - MRI safety oversight and regulatory compliance - Employee coaching, onboarding, and performance management - Collaboration with radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, and operational leadership - Identification and implementation of workflow improvement initiatives - Monitoring quality metrics, patient experience, and departmental performance The MRI department utilizes GE HealthCare MRI platforms across multiple software versions and supports a diverse range of advanced imaging services.
Examinations and procedures include, but are not limited to: - Neuro MRI - Cardiac MRI - Body MRI - Musculoskeletal MRI - Breast MRI - MRI-guided breast biopsy - Pelvic MRI - Prostate MRI and prostate ablation procedures - Interventional MRI procedures This list is not all-inclusive, and candidates should have experience supporting a broad spectrum of routine and advanced MRI services in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent operational judgment, extensive MRI clinical expertise, and the ability to balance supervisory responsibilities with hands-on clinical support when needed.
Experience managing multi-site imaging operations, leading teams in a complex healthcare environment, and driving operational excellence is highly desirable.
