On Call REQ: Call 3 days per month • In addition to call, this unit participates in the Bubble System. · The bubble is a system used to fairly and systematically assign extra call or other shifts that would otherwise not have coverage. · All techs are placed in a queue · New techs are placed at the bottom of the queue · Call and shifts vacancies are opened up to volunteers first · Volunteers who pick up shifts go to the bottom of the bubble or queue · The person at the top of the bubble (queue) is the one to get “popped” for coverage needed if not picked up by volunteer. They are then assigned to cover the shift or call shift in need. · The popped individual then goes to the bottom of the bubble (queue) Floating REQ: Yes Floating REQ: Traveler may be asked to float to the surrounding clinics.
