Performs radiographic procedures in a medical office as requested by physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required.
Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills.
Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Manager, Clinic; Receives technical direction from the Medical Director of Radiology for CSVRMC and remains in compliance with standards monitored by the CSVRMC Radiation Safety Officer. ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen CExposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
PHYSICAL
