Echo / Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer – Cincinnati, OH
5x8, Monday–Friday, 2:00p–10:30p (2nd shift) Guaranteed hours: 40 | Contract weeks: 13 Category: Clinical – Allied Requirements Transthoracic echo Start IVs Inject Definity Graduate of an accredited ultrasound training program ARDMS RDCS or RVT, or CCI RCS or RVS BLS (AHA) Continuing education as required by ARDMS, CCI, ICAVL, and ICAE Strong written and verbal communication, including with management, physicians, and technologists Working knowledge of accreditation, credentialing, and quality assurance Basic understanding of imager configuration, DICOM standards, networking, and medical records Role Performs non-invasive vascular and echocardiography testing, following established protocols and producing high-quality images and data Obtains patient history, confirms supporting documentation, and notifies the appropriate person when an order revision is needed Explains procedures to patients, families, and hospital staff Schedules add-on and emergency exams to maintain workflow and coordinates patient prep with care areas Maintains supplies and equipment, reports maintenance needs to the Lead, and follows quality control standards Participates in peer review, process improvement, research, and procedures Meets annual hospital and departmental safety, education, and in-service requirements
