$7500.00 Sign on bonus The Radiology Tech performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. The Radiology Tech exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. The Radiology tech is multi-skilled in the use of O.

R. procedures and equipment. Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, by selecting and operating appropriate radiographic equipment, operating room protocols, c-arm use and advanced diagnostic proceduresPractices aseptic techniques as necessary, understands methods of venipuncture and other sterile techniques, in agreement with state statues and./or where institutional policy permits, prepares, identifies and/or administers contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitionerRotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include procedures in O.

R Urography room, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements and traumaEvaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification and procedure is recordedAssists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, O. R. procedures and traumaProvides communication to patients for instructions and history in order to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxietyAssumes responsibility for provision of physical safety and psychological needs of the patient during proceduresPositions patients to best demonstrate anatomical areas of interest as requested respecting patients’ ability, comfort and safety.

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyPREFERRED

Associate degreeREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license. Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, in Radiography or registry eligible. Must have ARRT within one year post graduation of accredited school.

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.#LI-JH5
