SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Pathways are a 16-bed locked psychiatric intensive care unit, designated by the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health, as a receiving facility for involuntary patients. It is a Designated Receiving Facility (DRF). Pathways can also admit patients on a voluntary status. It is an adult unit serving patients age 18 to 64. ALOS = 6
- 9 days SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: In this safe and supportive environment patients receive intensive individual and group therapy. The therapeutic milieu and treatment focuses is on coping skills, problem solving, assertiveness, self-esteem, relaxation, leisure skills, and more. Each client will put together an individualized treatment plan to better manage the life stresses that contributed to hospitalization.
