Patient Ratio: No ratio for nursing staff — Mental health techs are a 1:5 ratio during the day and a 1:8 ratio at night would certify them in Handle with Care during orientation process.
AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for adolescents, addressing their physical and behavioral health needs. 2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for therapeutic and adverse effects. 3.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and social workers, to provide holistic care tailored to each patient's needs. 4. Monitor and document patients' physical and emotional status, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team in a timely manner. 5. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies for managing both physical and behavioral health conditions. 6.
Assist in crisis intervention and management of challenging behaviors, using de- escalation techniques and therapeutic communication approaches. 7. Maintain a safe and organized nursing environment, adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations. ______ 8.
