Candidates should be trained on CVICU devices to support CV cases. Hemodynamic monitoring- swans, art lines
Ventilator management
Strong critical thinking skills
2 years or more ICU experience
ACLS
BLS
NIH REQUIRED Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)
IABP exposure
CRRT exposure
Meditech charting/ order entry - Preferred Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)
ACTIVE TX RN License - NO TEMP LICENSE ACCEPTED Procedures performed on unit:
Post CABG
Post VAD
Post Cath with various cardiac support devices- IABP, Impella, ecmo Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
Scrub Color o RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket
Nail Policy - Clean and Healthy
Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
Tattoos - Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
Piercings - Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited

Badging in and out for shift is required along with taking a full 30 minute lunch.
Be on time for scheduled shifts (Clock in time 6:38 am/pm, after 6:45 is considered tardy)
