Albany Med is the busiest Trauma Center in New York State. As a Level One Trauma Center, our multi-disciplinary emergency team works around the clock to provide the most advanced care found in the Northeast. We are a regional Level One Trauma Center, serving a large area of Upstate New York and the Northeast region.

Our services include a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI and Advanced Critical Care Services. Working with first responders and the LifeNet air-medical crews, we care for patients transported to us, either from a scene or transferring facility for the higher level of care that is unique to Albany Medical Center, in our region. Patient Population: all injuries and illness ranging from minor care to life threatening conditions.
