This individual must be capable of: Manipulating Angiography equipment, including mobile and other equipment; selecting and manipulating exposure factors on digital angiographic systems; evaluating and processing digital images; lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to stressful situations; and communicating effectively. Equipment Used: This individual should be proficient in the use of: Digital Angiography Equipment, Interventional equipment, PACS, Computers. Works closely and efficiently with other Radiology staff, OR staff, Surgeons, and Interventional Radiologists in performing a wide range of Interventional procedures. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Responsible for assisting the Surgeon or Radiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology so that independent selection and modification of technical factors may produce optimal results. Responsible for the cleaning of all necessary equipment and supplies involved in all Special Procedures. When not performing Special Procedures, will perform all routine duties of the department as needed. Responsible for the instruction and training of students and other technologists in Special Procedures. Will perform other related duties within the department as required. When not performing Special Procedures, will perform all routine duties of the department as needed. Is able to stand for up to six hours with lead apron, mask, gown, glasses and gloves. This is for the protection of the employee. Able to assist with pre and post procedure patient care if needed.
