- Nights Nights, EOW OR the equivalent number (6-9) within a 6-week scheduling period, MUST FLOAT - Zone 3: OrthoCO Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, St Anthony, St Anthony North, 84th Ave ERCertifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC cUnit Notes: Hiring Process: Candidate Interview Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted Floating roles: Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone's city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible as the requirement to float throughout the full 60 mile zone applies regardless of where the traveler obtains housing. Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are completed remotely Must Have: 2 years of ED experience Traveler can't miss more than 3 shifts in a 13 week contract! Can make up on the front and back end of RTO *MUST submit a 2 week notice to avoid back out penalty fee** NO HOME BASE FACILITY! - Scheduled at a single facility for the week
- May float within that facility if needed Option B – Just-In-Time (JIT):
- Facility assigned 1–2 hours before shift start via call Unit ER/ED Float Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center? Varies: Trauma Level 3- non designed: majority STEMI and Stroke receiving facilites # Beds/Trauma Bays varies Do you have a Fast Track varies Do you have a separate Triage area? On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day? 40-168 patients per day, varies by location Nurse: Patient Ratios 1:4-5 based on acuity Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS?) ACLS,BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Common diagnoses/Types of patients Abdominal pain, DM, NSTEMI, penumonia, trauma, stroke, HTN Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must Have: 2 years of ED experience Prefer: " Common drips? standard ER medications ED Physician/Mid-Levels Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? yes Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? Ratios? Duties? Techs that support unit secretary work, assist nurses on the floor as well as assist in triage. Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG's, breathing Tx, & EKG's? RT available 24/7 RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the Tele monitors? no monitor tech, RN needs to be able to read an interpret tele X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw? Will be trained and perform Point of Care lab testing Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "12 hour shifts; Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling.
