Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o All ages infants – geriatrics. Peds are typically stabilized and shipped out if needing inpatient intervention. Will see unhoused patients and those in low socioeconomic standing. o Heart failure, GI bleeds/issues, hand injuries, NSTEMI/STEMIs, chest pain, VAD, behavioral health, CIWA, critical patients, sepsis, DKA, respiratory issues/failure, kidney issues/failure, liver issues/failure, post-transplant complications, traumas (MVA, GSW, falls, head injury – will stabilize and ship out). ?
Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:4-5 ? Required License, National Certification, Certs: o RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS ? Skills required: o RN: IV starts, inserting foleys and NG tubes, neuro assessment (NIHSS), triage, codes, initiating/titrating pressors/cardiac drips/sedation/insulin, critical patients, hyper/hypothermia care, assisting with bedside procedurals, moderate sedation for bedside procedures (versed/fentanyl/ketamine) o Soft
