  • 14 bed capacity. Staffing includes 3
  • 4 RNs per shift and an ED tech 24/7. Charge nurse assigned 24/7. Manager/supervisor on-call on off hours. One MD scheduled 24 hours. Mid-level (PA or NP) scheduled 0930
  • 2130. STEMI, Stroke and Trauma transported to higher level of care and may require an RN for transport. Facility does not have interventional radiology or cath lab. Porter provides general surgery services. Pediatric patients needing higher level of care are usually transported. Our ED utilizes Telemedicine and Telestroke consultations through UVMMC. When to Work is our scheduling application. Questions for candidates: 1. Do you have charge experience? 2. Would you be comfortable precepting new nurses if needed? 3.   • 26 weeks, unit would really prefer 26 weeks. are tiered based on mileage - measured by direct line not driving distance. Travel (101 miles+), Radius (51
  • 100 miles), Local (50 miles or less) Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day. ED RN: No floating required. Charge experience is highly preferred. A minimum of every other weekend and/or schedule adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care. Holiday requirements – must be flexible with schedule.
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC required; TNCC, or proof of class with date applied, must be in packet and NIHSS is required prior to start
  • Previous travel experience is required – 1 travel assignment suffices
  • A minimum of 2 years of in unit experience required
  • Charge experience is required
  • EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable Additional Information:
