Emergency Room - 3/12s DAY SHIFT *NO first time travelers *Traveler MUST be proficient in EPIC Weekend requirement: Six shifts per six week block, Saturday/Sunday **minimum 2 years of experience required** *LVN coverage for breaks* *Unit can only approve RTO of no more than 4 days off in a row
200 cases/day summer & 350 cases/day winter o 55 bed unit o LVN coverage for RN breaks
Patient Population: o Stemi/Sepsis/ Primary Stroke Center/ Forensics Program/ 88% adult. Hospital does not have OB/GYN Department o 8% pedi volume/ Highest receiving facility for Ambulances in the area 80/day o 60-120 cases a month- sexual assault forensic exams not done by travelers SANE not required. Know to not have patient void etc. may be assigned to patient to provide care other than the actual exam. o 81% medicare/ average mean age 76yrs old
Unit Details: o Ratios – 4:1 o EPIC Charting o Therapeutic Hypothermia o TPA Administration - high volume ** o LVN start lines o Magnet Facility - Strong Customer Service skills required o Fast Track - 8 beds
Required Certs/Skills: o ACLS o BCLS o NIH o PALS o IV Start o Telemetry o Triage o Pass/Fail EKG exam during orientation
Preferred Certs/skills: o MAB o CPI o Vents o TNCC *Flu vaccinations required - exemptions accepted on a case by case basis*
