Utilize team nursing - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Dementia, dependent older adults, diabetes, rehab/restorative care post acute illness, IV medication, fluid and blood administration, COVID, wounds, initial care of trauma patients in the ER, exacerbation of chronic illnesses, Geriatric population, general rehab post-surgery. - Experience or 'Must have'
Understanding of dementia, stroke, skin care geriatric patient care - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, blood transfusions - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Yes - Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Team assignment, not individual assignments - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios?
Duties?: Yes - Nurse Aides/CNA on each shift - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Patient managed CPAP only - Are RNs required to do anything with RT Equipment besides troubleshoot?: no - Do you have Tele/Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? RNs must read and interpret - Shifts & Scheduling: 12hr Shifts, 0645-1915, 1845-0715 - Do you allow self-scheduling?

ER / Medsurg Support - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Scrubs, no specific color - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 3 Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
