RN - ICU at HR - Shared Services (Loma Linda, CA)Core ICU CompetenciesCandidates should be comfortable with: Hemodynamic monitoring (invasive and non-invasive) Mechanical ventilators Arterial lines Central lines Vasopressor administration Chest tubes and drainage systems Critical care medication titration Advanced cardiac monitoring Defibrillators and external pacemakers Blood product administration Emergency response and code situations CRRT exposure preferred Targeted temperature management (TTM) exposure preferred Required Certifications Commonly Seen ACLS BLS NIHSSPreferred depending on unit: TNCC PALS Stroke-related competenciesAdditional LLUH SSN Float Pool ExpectationsAll SSN ICU Travelers are expected to float as needed across LLUH adult facilities.

Travelers should be aware that assignments may include:Main Campus ICU units 7A Surgical/Trauma/Neuroscience ICU 8A Medical ICU 9A Cardiac/CT ICU East Campus ICU 1400 Loma Linda University Surgical HospitalIn addition, when patient census and staffing needs require it:ICU travelers may be floated to appropriate Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Observation, or Overflow units within their competency level. Travelers should be comfortable accepting a Med/Surg patient assignment/list when floated to an acute care floor, consistent with LLUH float practices and unit needs.

Previous float pool, traveler, resource team, or multi-unit experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to safely transition between ICU and acute-care environments as operational needs dictate. Ideal ICU Traveler Profile?

Recent ICU experience (MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, CVICU) ? Epic experience preferred ? ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required ?

Ventilator management ? Hemodynamic monitoring ? Vasopressor titration ?

CRRT experience preferred ? Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred ? Float pool/traveler experience preferred ?
