A Registered nurse who has demonstrated expertise to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the hospital’s Infection Control program through the knowledge of the principles and practices of Infection control. Reports to: Director, Quality and Performance Excellence
Has a minimum of 5 years in hospital nursing experience as a registered nurse. Current RI State Nursing License. Completed Infection Control Training Course through APIC within 1-2 years of position.
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) or certification A-IPC within 1-3 years of position. Success Factors Has demonstrated successful delivery of various IC programs using the performance improvement model. Utilizes critical thinking skills to administer the activities of the hospital’s infection control program.
Has successfully completed the C. I. C. program and maintained this certification.
