Mary's Hospital features 12 private labor, delivery, 6 dedicated OB triage rooms, and 2 cesarean section operating rooms located on the Labor & Delivery floor for rapid access during obstetric emergencies. The unit works closely with the High-Risk Antepartum Unit and Antepartum Unit, both located on the same floor, providing seamless care for patients throughout their hospitalization. Dedicated social work services are available to support patients and families with complex medical and psychosocial needs.

Postpartum and recovery care are provided on a separate postpartum unit, ensuring continuity of care from delivery through discharge while allowing Labor & Delivery to focus on acute obstetric and surgical patients. As a teaching hospital, St. Mary's offers a collaborative academic environment with on-site Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) attendings and fellows as well as an OB/GYN residency program with six residents per class in a four-year training program.

Nurses work alongside multidisciplinary specialists and learners while caring for a diverse, high-acuity obstetric population, making this an excellent opportunity for professional growth and advanced clinical experience.
