East Georgia RMC Travel Labor & Delivery RN Start: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks

Days, 6:45a - 7:15p, EOW, floating & call required **Call

  • 2 12hr call shifts per every 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift) **Floating required between depts in the Women's Pavilion **/hr approved ****AUTO OFFERS ONLY - NO INTERVIEWS**** **2+ years experience required **2+ previously completed travel assignments in L&D required **BLS, ACLS, NRP required **CPN & Cerner experience preferred **Must be able to pass an EKG Comments
  • 48GHs are NOT approved
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend requirements are met, must be included in body of submission.
  • Monitor and assist laboring patients, communicate with providers, circulate in OR for c/s, competently triage 20 weeks and up
  • Scope of role: Labor, circulate for vaginal delivery (circulating for cesarean is preferred), attending deliveries to support newborn resuscitation, recover vaginal and cesarean deliveries, provide care to antepartum requiring care in L&D
  • Max RTO: none as long as weekend requirements are met
  • Scrub color = Navy blue
  • EMR used = CPN (GE) and Cerner
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 per AWHONN Staffing Standards
  • Number of beds in unit: 13 - 8 LDRs, 5 Triage Beds The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phase of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
