Observation MS RN - Nights - Deaconess Gateway **Clinical Interview**NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)Contract Length: 13 weeksStart: 10/19 - Bi-weekly orientationGuaranteed hours: 36 (will accept 48s upon request)*OT will go into effect after 52hrs on 48hr contractsPrimary location: GatewayShift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float.
Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/AWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule.
Every other holiday. Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience. Charting
- Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Patient Population: Chest pain, abdominal pain, flank plank, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness/awaiting placement/geri-psych placement.Skillset: PIV insertion, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 32 beds. Ratio: Days 1
- 4:5; NOCs 1:5
- 7; Excellent LPN and CNA support. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes assignment on NOC shift.Unit Strengths: Excellent teamwork with support of fantastic LPNs and CNAs.
