- Type of Patients on Unit: medical surgical- orthopedic, general surgery, urology. Top medical diagnoses- CHF, COPD, PNA. We do admit pediatric patients to the general floor, but the nurse must have PALS to care for. It is not something that is mandatory for travelers on MSU.
