Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Delivers quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to guide care delivery. Directs, quality patient care, utilizing advanced clinical skill levels and knowledge. Develops, implements, revises and evaluates the plan of care.

Engages in professional growth and development, continuing competence, lifelong learning, quality care and research to affect empirical outcomes. Develops others. Holds self and others accountable to nursing professional practice.

Fosters an environment of peer accountability. Participates in community partnerships and collaborative initiatives. Participates in the development of students, new nurses and experienced nurses hired into the organization.

Develops and serves in a leadership role at the unit level such as charge nurses, clinical coach. Partners with unit leadership on quality and/or research initiatives to achieve outcomes.
