- BLS, NRP Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: The Registered Nurse Mother Baby unit cares for women of childbearing age and newborns. Ability to recognize unit workflow, process, policies and procedures within post partum unit. Ability to assess and identify risk factors related to: sepsis, venous thromboembolism/deep vein thrombosis (VTE/DVT), suicide, malignant hyperthermia, pressure injury. Ability to provide discharge education and assessment, abnormal assessment, pain management, time management, prioritization of patient care needs dependent upon acuity and needs of the patient. Use of AIDET and BSSR. Must have : Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred Advanced skills needed: N/A Procedures performed on unit: circumcisions Certifications Required: BLS, NRP Dress Code : (Required uniform)
