Beds: 27 Census? Average 20
Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred, will consider (Resource Team) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Stroke, COPD, Chest Pain, Altered Mental Status, GI bleed Patient Ratios:
RN: 1:5-6, acuity dependent - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
LPN: 1:5-6, acuity dependent - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
CNA: 1:9 Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Skills required:
General Med/Tele skillset : Stroke experience/NIH assessments, Chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, Cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps
Medication gtt management to include: Cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IVF Support within the Department:
CNA? Duties? Yes, CNAs can insert foleys if certified and remove IVs for Discharge if certified, in addition to Vitals, ADLs, etc.
Receptionist/HUC? Dayshift only
Charge nurse - may or may not have patient assignment
Phlebotomy, 24/7
No designated IV/VAT Team
RT, 24/7
Hospitalist, 24/7
Telemetry monitoring/tech? Yes Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Epic
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Philips Floating: If yes, where?

Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit) :

Weekend rotation: every other
No call
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700
