NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn is looking for four (4) experienced MS/Tele RNs to join a collaborative team caring for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry environment. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a respected New York City health system while receiving strong interdisciplinary support throughout your assignment.

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW - Facility: NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn - Positions available: Four (4) MS/Tele RNs - Assignment length: 12 weeks - Start date: Monday, October 5, 2026 -

Three 12-hour shifts per week - Patient population: Adults and geriatrics - Staffing ratio: 1:6 for all shifts - Weekend coverage: Every other weekend required - Floating: Required -

Minimum of two years required - Patient ratio

Preferred - First-time travelers: Not accepted - Scrubs: Hunter green ORIENTATION AND SYSTEMS - Orientation: 37.5 hours, including one EPIC shift and two OnShift shifts. - Medication system: Omnicell. - Communication: SBAR. - Documentation systems: EPIC and OnShift. PROVIDER COVERAGE AND CLINICAL SUPPORT - Intensivist, hospitalist, and anesthesiologist coverage is available in-house 24/7. - Interpretation services - IV teams - Pharmacy - Phlebotomy - Physical therapy - Radiology - Rapid response teams - Respiratory services - Social services REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE - New York State RN license - BLS certification REQUIRED WORK SETTINGS - ER holding - Medical-surgical/telemetry - Telemetry

AND CLINICAL COMPETENCIES CARDIAC MONITORING AND ER RESPONSE - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Telemetry - on the unit monitoring - Telemetry - remote monitoring - Use of rapid response/code teams CARDIOVASCULAR - Temporary and permanent pacemaker care - Post-cardiac angiogram care ENDOCRINE/METABOLIC - IV insulin protocols - Titration of insulin drips GASTROINTESTINAL - Feeding tube care and management IV THERAPY/PHLEBOTOMY - Blood product administration - Peripheral line care/management - Phlebotomy - Starting and maintaining IVs MEDICATIONS - Heparin protocols - Manage cardiac drips - no titration - Manage vasoactive drips - no titration - PCA management PLASTICS - Surgical drains RESPIRATORY - Chest tubes - Emerson/PleurEvac - High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) - Nasal cannula - Non-invasive airway management - Oxygen administration - Oxygen tanks - Tracheostomy care/management PROFESSIONAL TOPICS AND SKILLS - Isolation precautions/PPE - Wound care - Wound VAC management This assignment requires an experienced MS/Tele RN who can confidently manage a 1:6 patient ratio, float as needed, and work every other weekend.
