  • Facility: o 920 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025 o 457 licensed beds o Trauma Level III o Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center of Excellence o Bariatric Center of Excellence o Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information: o Beds: 28 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler?   • Surg, 65 and older, COPD, CHF, Delirium, Dementia, UTI, PNA, Flu, Wounds Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:5
  • 6 (Day & Nights); surge staffing could increase to 1:7
  • 8 o LPN: 1:5
  • 6 (Day & Nights); surge staffing could increase to 1:7
  • 8 o CNA: 1:7
  • 10 (Day & Nights) Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Skills required: o PIV starts, IV med administration, wound care, med administration, pain mgt, educating patients/families, coordinating care, monitoring VS/labs and changes in patient condition, initial patient assessment and ongoing assessments, implementation of care plans/ongoing assessment of progress. Working with interdisciplinary departments. Support within the Department: o CNA - VS, bathing, feeding, mobility, fall prevention, labs, ADLs, foley care/insertion o Unit Secretary on dayshift only o Charge RN 24/7 – may or may not have patient assignment o Phlebotomy - HCTs/RNs assist with phlebotomy on unit o IV/VAT Team o RR/Code team, Nurse mentors, House Supervisor (hospital wide) o RT, 24/7 o Hospitalist, 24/7 o Intensivist, 24/7 o Telemetry monitoring/tech: Remote monitoring only for pts with tele ordered Technology/Equipment: o EMR: Epic o IV Pump: BD Alaris IV pumps o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Patient Safety Net on all patients o Unit specific equipment: Hoyer lift, Sara Stedy, Air Tap System Floating: o Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units and provide flexible staffing support based on patient care needs and staffing demands. They will demonstrate adaptability and clinical flexibility when floating to other units. Will take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED, etc.) o Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit) : o NEO o 2 days departmental Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: every other o No call required o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Shift times: 0700
