  • Facility: o 920 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025 o 457 licensed beds o Trauma Level III o Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center of Excellence o Bariatric Center of Excellence o Radius rule: Travelers permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information: o Beds: 28 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months MedSurg RN exp o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred but will consider Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Orthopedic surgery o Spine surgery o Trauma o Vascular Surgery o Medical Overflow Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:4

  • 10 Nights Required License, National Certification, Certs: o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team Requirement) Skills required: o General post-surgical skillset to include: Incision care, Assessment, Drains, Chest Tubes, Wound Care/Wound vacs, Mobility, Education, Trach Care, NG tube insertion, Use of braces/traction, etc. o As of 5/27/2026: unit is currently in the recertification process for the Advanced Certification for Spine Surgery. The program is well defined with easy-to-follow checklist with outlined order sets. Travelers are expected to be a part of this process but will be supported throughout contract by management. Please ensure travelers are aware. Support within the Department: o CNA: phlebotomy, ADLs, Foley insertion/removal, peripheral IV site removal o Charge nurse indirect as able o IV/VAT Team o Mentor to provide additional support, assist in finding policy information o RT 24/7 o Hospitalist 24/7 o Remote Telemetry monitoring o House Supervisor provides additional support, serves as resource for information o Patient Safety Attendants/Virtual Patient Observation-utilized for patients in need of additional observation/redirection o BERT Behavioral Response Team: deployed to assist in de-escalation measures o Rapid Response/Code Team: additional resource called with change in condition, respiratory or cardiac arrest Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o IV Pump: BD Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Phillips and Massimo Floating: o Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units and provide flexible staffing support based on patient care needs and staffing demands. They will demonstrate adaptability and clinical flexibility when floating to other units. Will take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED, etc.) o Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit) : o NEO o 2 days departmental Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: every other o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Schedule cycle: 6 weeks Other notes: o Scrub Color: Navy o Parking: Free Yes in designated areas o Unit Culture: Positive, Supportive
