ACLS , BLS , NIHSS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CLINICAL SKILLS =====================================
Years of Experience Required: 2 years acute care; must include 1+ yrs well rounded PCU/Stepdown experience
Work Settings: MS/Tele; Neuro Stepdown; PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
IV therapy: Access/Manage Ports; Administer Blood Products; Central/Peripheral/PICC Line Management; Start IVs
Respiratory: BiPAP/CPAP; Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac; HFNC; ABGs; NC; Non-invasive airway management; Oxygen administration/tanks; Trach care
GI/Renal/Neuro: Feeding tube management; Pre/Post Hemodialysis; Renal failure; CVA; Pre/Post neurosurgery; TBI
Medications: Heparin Protocols; Manage Cardiac/Vasoactive drips- no titration; PCA
Cardiac: Interpret/Manage dysrhythmias; Telemetry-on the unit monitoring; Post Cardiac Angiogram; Post MI; Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
General

Surgical drains; Isolation Precautions/PPE; Wound Care/Vac; Use of Rapid Response/Code teams SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING ===============================
Charting: EPIC experience required
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend; (Weekend nights is Fri/Sat)
RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: Priority given to submits with a screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests. No requests will be approved after offer.
Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs
Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
Locals Accepted: Yes, Locals accepted at the same rate. UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING =========================
Ratios: Patient Ratio: Ratio 1:4+ for PCU; 1:5 for MS/Tele (Confirm with traveler)
Scrubs: Navy Blue
Floating: This is a true float pool position. Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing.
