Additional Comments/Requirements: Level I Trauma and large hospital experience is required. The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout our 2 campuses, BUMC-Tucson (Level I Trauma 625 beds) and BUMC-South (Level III Trauma 245 beds), to provide support where necessary. BUMC-Tucson Campus has the following Adult Health units with patients that range from Observation (2 units), Med Surg (4 units), to PCU and IMC (total 11 units).
PCU travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the ED or the PACU to take Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed on a unit. BUMC-South Campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from BUMC-Tucson.
It has 4 Adult Health units (1 OBS, 2 PCU, and 1 MS) which they may float 21123 Position / Specialty: PCU Start Date: Candidates must be available to start within two weeks of the posted date above. Experience Required: Minimum 24 months of recent PCU experience. Must have worked in a PCU unit within the last 12 months.
ICU or float-to-PCU experience does not count toward the 24-month requirement. Schedule &
Weekend/Holiday Coverage: As needed based on facility census. Floating: May float to similar or lower acuity units per census/facility needs. Block Scheduling: Not available.
