Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Respiratory, Trauma (which includes penetrating and non-accidental trauma, NAT), DKA, Seizures, Neurosurgical, Acute/Chronic Renal Failure, Orthopedic, Surgical, Transplants (Kidney and whole/partial Liver), complex Medical, Blood Disorders Patient Ratios: o RN: Varies on acuity: 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 Required Licensure &
o RN: BLS, PALS Skills required: o EPIC experience, experience with Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino device (ICP and temp monitoring device), Belmont Rapid Infuser, management of critical care vasoactive drip titration, management of invasive lines – ART lines/CVP, aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, HOFV management, oral/nasal suctioning, g-tube/j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, sedation and analgesic drip management, Foley insertion and management, Alaris & Medfusion pump management, bedside procedures with providers, discharge skills, CRRT experience o Ability/Competency to float to Pediatric CVICU – discussed during interview Support within the Department: o CNA - 1 Health Care tech per day to support unit secretary duties and nursing support needs throughout the shift (runners, bathing, etc.) o Unit Secretary every shift o Charge nurse, 24/7 o Phlebotomy, 24/7 o IV/VAT Team, 24/7 o Resource Nurse o RT, 24/7 o Intensivist, 24/7 o Residents, in house o APP, in house o Telemetry monitoring Tech?
