Dysrhythmia Exam Required (Study Guide Available)Type of patients seen on the unit can vary and is usually an assortment of any medical/telemetry level of care patients. We do see a high than average population of cardiac patients though.
Specifically chest pain patients that are doing cardiac rule out (stress test, Echo), CHF exacerbations, and we do take care of pre/post cardiac cath patients. Lastly we do see the majority of the hospitals alcohol detox patients. Pre/post cath experience.
Drips: Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin. No pressors. Need to be able to titrate drips if possible.

12 HR NightsITO interview/offerUnit Specific Details36 BedsAlaris pumps, Hercules beds. Lines/Drains/Devices: No specialty lines/drains/devices. We do see JP drains and other standard post operative drains occasionally in post operative patients, occasional chest tubes that are stable, ports and PICC lines.
Oxygen: Do not keep any O2 over Nasal Canula. Could see patients with chronic BiPAP/CPAP but acute needs are transferred. Occasional Chronic trachs but no vents.
Unit secretary M-F 7a-3p. 2-4 PCT's depending on volume and staffing needs. Night shift charge takes assignment. Day shift charge is variable depending on census.
