  • Any unacceptable attire: anything other than above Additional Information: Heart & Vascular Recovery is an 8 bed unit caring for critically ill patients pre- and post- intervention. The Heart and Vascular Recovery unit cares for patients pre and post invasive cardiac procedures. The Heart and Vascular Recovery RN utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care to this patient population including pre/post cardiac cath lab patients, electrophysiology patients, and vascular patients. The RN maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients, evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided, coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy service standards. Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths is preferred. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.   • Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patient post trauma, surgical interventions and medical comorbitities. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
