M-F 0800-1630, no weekends. Looking for an experienced wound care RN. Traveler will see patients from different units as long as there’s a wound care need for it.

Job
Provides care to medically complex patients in collaboration with the physician in a specialized acute care setting. Works within scope and experience and works autonomously and has authority responsibility and accountability for assessment planning implementation and evaluation of wound ostomy and continence care program throughout the inpatient care areas. Serves as a resource for wound care management including identification assessment treatment and prevention.
Within scope and experience Pprovides specialized consultation on wound ostomy and continence issues for patients families nursing and medical staff. Serves as a consultant in the management of patients with draining wounds fistula and tubes. Serves as a consultant for the treatment of patients with altered skin integrity due to pressure necrosis drainage or incontinence.
Works with physicians and nursing staff to provide updated information regarding wound care. Conducts rounds on all patients with wound/pressure ulcers and pressure injuries on an as needed basis. Job
Education and Work
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing BSN: Preferred Relevant clinical nursing
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse RN licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR certification or Basic Life Support BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Wound care certification: Preferred with plan to achieve in determined time period Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support BLS?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
Implements the plan coordinates care delivery and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient?s situation.
Collaborates with the team of patient family and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe healing humane and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients families and treatment team.
Maintains appropriate supply of equipment and materials. Maintains complete accurate concise legible documentation of patient status interventions and responses. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
