SimpliFi Clinical Interview Unit Information: o Beds: N/A Census? Average patients/day? Varies o Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with previous adult critical are experience Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o COPD, asthma, respiratory failure, burns, strokes, traumas. Will float throughout hospital o Typically do not train travelers in NICU (there by themselves) and ER Required License, National Certification, Certs: o BLS, ACLS; NRP preferred. State license o RRT preferred, but will consider CRT (ask manager approval for CRT) o Diploma from accredited RT program Skills required: o Adult critical care, inhaled epoprostenol, intubation assist, bedside bronchoscopy/tracheostomy assist, oxygen therapy, high flow oxygen therapy, aerosol treatment via SVN/aerogen/MDI, ABGs o Level I Trauma experience preferred o Nitric only in NICU Support within the Department: o RT manager o Day/Night Supervisor o Respiratory Care Coordinator o PFT/Educator Technology/Equipment: o EMR: Cerner o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Unit specific equipment: Medfusion (for inhaled epoprostenol only), PB 980, Nihon Kohden 440/550, Hamilton MRI, HT70, Noctural Bipaps V30s Floating: If yes, where? o Throughout hospital Orientation (facility and unit) : o Day 1: NEO o Days 2
5 (depending on comfort level): 2 on days, 2 on nights Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: Every other o On call? No o Holiday Expectations: Need to be willing to work some holidays o Approval of RTO: to go through manager o Shift times: 0630
